Coffee Strong and IVAW Chapter 56 Joint Base Lewis-McChord are teaming up to collect items to send in care package to deployed soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Along with the items listed below, we are also asking for cash donations to cover shipping costs.

To mark the 10th year of the war in Afghanistan we will send the first shipment of packages on Oct. 7th. Coffee Strong is currently the only collection point for donations but we anticipate more in the future, and will list them on this event page as they become available. Please ask your friends, coworkers, professors, teachers, fellow students, and anyone else you know for donations! If you would like to make a cash donation, please let the barista know it is for Operation "I Got Mail!".

Be Creative.

IVAW members chose the name Operation: "I Got Mail!" because when deployed we would yell out "I got mail!" when we received packages and letters from home. It was so exciting to get a box full of stuff when you weren't expecting one. Please help bring a little unexpected excitement into a servicemember's life by donating to our joint Coffee Strong/IVAW Chapter 56 JBLM project.
