We think of PTSD as a 21st century phenomenon, but as NW photographer and exhibit organizer Jim Lommasson cites Homer and Herodotus to point out that the syndrome has been around as long as war itself.

This traveling photo exhibit by, of and for our soldiers returning from the Gulf, is neither a pro nor an anti war statement, rather an exploration of the very human condition of re-entry after a war. What does it mean to come home, particularly after such life-changing events? Three panel speakers, including 2 returning vets, will address this question at PCC Rock Creek's Helzer Gallery (building 3) followed by an artists' reception and chance to view the photo exhibit.
